Friday June 1st: Palermo airport/Palermo

Arrival in Palermo airport in the morning, then private bus transfer to the Hotel.

Check in at the Hotel**** in Palermo and free time in the City. At dinner time, all together, will enjoy the welcome dinner in a selected restaurant in the city.


Saturday June 2nd: Palermo

After breakfast at the hotel, the Norman and Arabic guided tour of Palermo with our English speaking tour guide. After the guided tour of the city, we will enjoy the street food lunch at an authentic local market, discovering the typical products of the territory. In the afternoon we will have free time, walking and shopping in the city or enjoying beach in Mondello and dinner on your own.


Sunday June 3rd: Palermo/Segesta/Calatafimi/Palermo

After breakfast, transfer to Segesta to visit the ancient Greek Temple and Amphitheatre. From there will visit a winery, with tasting wine and lunch with the producer. Free time in the afternoon and dinner on your own in Palermo.


Monday June 4th: Palermo/Caltagirone/Ragusa

Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola staff will collect your luggage to move to Ragusa, with a stop over lunch time in Caltagirone, the ceramic city. After the check in at the Hotel**** in Ragusa, will have free time until the evening, when we have the dinner in a selected restaurant.


Tuesday June 5th: Ragusa/Siracusa/Modica/Ragusa

After breakfast, the guided tour of Siracusa with our tour guide for a couple of hours, then free time and lunch on your own in the city. Tonight will enjoy the artisanal chocolate of Modica!

Will visit a chocolate producer with a delicious tasting. From there, will move in a selected restaurant to have the chocolate dinner! You will discover and learn how people of Modica traditionally use the chocolate not only for the dessert, but also for antipasto, primo and secondo.


Wednesday June 6th: Ragusa

Today you cook!

This morning we suggest you a light breakfast, because will meet a cheese producer, who will make you taste a fresh ricotta cheese! From the cheese farm, will move at the local market to buy all the ingredients for the cooking class. Light lunch at the hotel and then will go in the kitchen for the cooking class: a professional chef will work with your group and you will be responsible for preparing a traditional Sicilian meal. You will start in the morning by going to the local market and shopping for ingredients. In the afternoon the chef will assist you in the preparation of the dishes. Tonight the cooking class dinner.


Thursday June 7th: Ragusa/Sciacca/Trapani

Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola staff will collect your luggage to move to Trapani, with a brief stop overlooking the Temple Vallee Greek Ruins, and stop over lunch time in Sciacca to have lunch in a selected restaurant.

After the check in at the Hotel**** in Trapani, will have free afternoon and dinner on your own in Trapani.


Friday June 8th: Trapani/San Vito Lo Capo/Marsala/Mararusa/Trapani

Afret breakfast, will enjoy your free time all the morning, enjoying beach and shopping in San Vito Lo Capo and lunch on your own. In the afternoon, transfer to Marsala, to visit the salt flat of Marsala. From there, will move in Marausa to have a dinner in a selected restaurant, looking the Egadi Islands at sunset.


Friday June 9th: Trapani/Erice/Trapani

After breakfast, will visit the fish market in Trapani. From there will move to Erice, an ancient medieval city, located on top of the mountain. You will enjoy your free morning and lunch on your own in Erice.

In the afternoon, free time to go to shopping in the city or pack your luggage and the group dinner, all together, in a selected restaurant in Trapani.


Sunday June 10th: Trapani/Palermo airport

After breakfast, transfer from Trapani to Palermo airport.

Tour Sicilia June 2018

Sicily is the biggest island of Italy, located in the South part of the country.

Thanks to its geographical position, in the past it was dominated by several populations, who left their influence, that you can see still today, both on the architecture and on the food!

Sicily is the best combination of different cultures and cuisines:

  1. Norman style in Palermo area (the street food is the best expression);

  2. Arabic style in Trapani area (the cous cous is the symbol of this cuisine);

  3. Spanish style in Ragusa area (the artisanal chocolate is predominant, not only as dessert!).

As it is an island, in the Sicilian cuisine you will find a lot of seafood, but in Ragusa the black pork of Nebrodi Mountains is renowned and very important the cultivation of vegetable, thanks to the sun almost all the year.

Last, but not least, the Sicilian wines (both red and white) and the extra virgin olive oil have a big production.

Besides the food, also the landscape is really interesting and complex: mountains, hills, rock coasts, sandy

coasts and a gorgeous sea make Sicily a jewel to see!
